Transition Piece #2 is a series of engraved Perspex panels that incorporate latex infused with Saos-2 cell palettes. This work reflects on themes of transformation and the cascading impact of actions over time. The engraved panels serve as visual and conceptual reminders of the lasting impressions that change leaves on biological and material realms. By embedding latex with human Soas-2 cell palettes, the work underscores the intimate, physical traces that remain as part of an ongoing process of becoming. The juxtaposition of rigid, transparent Perspex and the malleable, organic nature of latex with human cellular material creates a dialogue between permanence and fluidity. This combination comments on how each interaction and choice creates ripples that resonate beyond their initial occurrence, altering both the material world and the realm of human experience. The work suggests that transformation is not just a singular event but a continuous, interconnected process, where actions imprint themselves on multiple levels of existence.

The work forms part of The Absence of Alice series.
